I’m Georgia Amato, a Sydney-based visual artist creating bold, abstract works that explore colour, emotion, and intuition.
My practice is shaped by fleeting memories, organic forms, and the quiet, often overlooked moments of everyday life. I’m drawn to the in between where feeling resists definition and meaning remains open.
I began painting as a way to process and express what couldn’t be put into words, and quickly found a deep connection between art, identity, and the intangible. Working primarily with acrylic and mixed media, I build layered surfaces that suggest movement, depth, and emotional resonance. Each piece is an invitation to slow down, to feel, and to interpret freely.
After three years studying Visual Arts at the University of Sydney, my commitment to creating work that feels both alive and accessible has continued to grow. At the heart of my practice is a desire to connect through shared emotion, personal reflection, and the subtle recognition of something familiar within the abstract.
Lots of love,
Georgia
